About The Pink Chef

Dylan Millar is a bright, highly creative, talented and ambitious Chef and patisserie exponent. His passion is to continue to hone and develop his skills in every aspect of the industry that he loves. As a business owner and Front of house Manager for some of South Africa’s top restaurants, he has developed independence and great marketing, management and people skills. Above all though, he still values and seeks the experience that can be gained from any challenge to do something new, exciting and extraordinary.

He was chosen as one of only 3 out of 50 applicants to be accepted into the Chef training course at the exclusive five star ‘De Hoek Country Hotel.’ It is from this kind of quality environment that Dylan has learned and grown to be the expert exponent of all areas of catering that he is today.

As a consultant on retainer as front of house Manager for top restaurants like DW 11- 13 and Lupa Ostaria, to being the sole proprietor in his own business, Dylan always displays his resilience, flexibility and absolute determination to ensure that every order no matter how big or small is carried out to perfection – with a smile!

We just want to say a massive thank you for everything you did to ensure a successful and joyous 5th birthday party for our little Hope. Because of the time of year, we didn’t have the time or energy to put something together (lazy parents) and just needed someone to pick up the task and make it all happen. You did just that! From understanding our initial brief – a cupcake making workshop for a group of 5 year olds (and a few older ones), to offering a venue conducive to hosting such a messy affair, to working within a very limited budget, you made it work and come together effortlessly. The cupcake making workshop was enjoyed by all the children and even some mothers got involved J. The cupcakes used for the workshop as well as on the food table for the adults were absolutely delicious and we couldn’t get enough. The snack platters were also mouth-watering and suited perfectly both adult and children palates. Your flexibility in allowing us to arrive early and help set up and decorate the venue was also appreciated and made us feel like not total useless parents J The venue lent itself perfectly for a children’s party with plenty of space on offer, a beautiful outside seating area for the adults and an inviting pool for the kids to enjoy as well. Definitely a winner for future parties and events J We definitely won’t hesitate to use The Pink Chef in the future. A teenager’s party is on the horizon J
